ABOUT GTWRFC
In the spring of 2006, Jenny 'Jarz' Rainwater sparked the idea for a women's rugby team at Georgia Tech. The GTWRFC started as a club sport the following fall. We are now in our 18th season as an official team and currently compete as a Division II team in USA Southern Atlantic Rugby Conference.
Collegiate women's rugby is played for both fall and the spring semesters. The fall season consists of friendly games against regional teams to prepare for the matrix season in the spring. We teach everything during weekly practices and encourage new players to join us at any time, regardless of skill level!

Wil Mitcham has been coaching for GTWRFC since Fall 2022, and has been coaching sports for 17 years . He has 15+ years of rugby experience playing for Macon Love RFC, Gypsy Rugby, and other smaller clubs.

Coach Boris
Boris Taganov brings a decade of rugby experience as both a player & a coach across 15s, 7s and league. He has coached for GTWRFC since Fall 2023. He's played for RFC Forum Moscow, ATL Renegades, ATL Rhinos, and GT.
